Holy 2 HaShem Hats
These hats are inspired by the Torah portion / parshah Tetzaveh (Exodus 27:20—30:10). The priests wore a golden diadem (crown) / tzitz / which was inscribed with the words קדש ליהוה / Kadosh l’HaShem / holy unto HaShem and served as protection for them from the many items entering the mishkan / tabernacle that could contain impurities. I made these hats because I think we could use a little extra support to feel protected in these times, display our holiness to g-d and look divine while doing it. They come in two different styles (baseball cap and beanie) and are embroidered with gold thread using a traditional embroidery technique called stumpwork. This creates a raised lettering that is three dimensional in appearance. Some of the letters also have tagin (decorative elements drawn over select Hebrew letters.
